 ROR14 Snacktruck Spacial Findings 1-7 CD |
Combining elements of prog, math rock and a lot more, Snacktruck have created a sound like none other in Richmond. Using two drummers to create a coheisve percussion section that is not to be fucked with. On this particular recording Snacktruck consist of members of Richmond's Ultra Dolphins and VCR. The combined heavy-hitters of RVA draw the weirder qualities of each of its members predecessors and stirs the pot into producing crucial songs. This Cd will easily stay on repeat if you are stoked on bands like Battles, Russian Circles,Don Cab, Trans Am. The Cd contains 4 songs release previously on the Spacial Findings 1-4 7inch, plus 3 never before released tracks from the same session and a remix that would even give Aphex Twin a run for his money. The CD comes in an environment friendly gate fold jacket printed on recycled paper with an offset print job.

The underground railroad from St. Augustine to Richmond, VA finally comes to listeners in the form of Tuber’s split with the almighty Brainworms. Brainworms unleash two tracks on their 3rd split 7" in a year, one being Jays Big Date which is the zingiest of zingers yet by the band and the debut of Josh Small on guitar with the band. Track two is a cover of Rites of Spring - For Want Of, recorded at the same time as the live side of Which is Worse. Tubers, who have circuited the Florida punk scene in bands one might call spastic hardcore such as Twelve Hr. Turn, Solid Pony, and Environmental Youth Crunch, find a mellower spot to sit while not letting aggressive tendencies completely fall by the wayside. Tubers are the perfect complement for a party that wants to let loose, have fun, and, you know, maybe get a little weird on the dance floor. Debut Record by Richmond's Antlers. Antler's play primarily instrumental mathy indie stuff more to the tune of bands like Ghost and Vodka. Vocals are minimal and song as a group, they act more like an instrument. The Record was Recorded at Planet Red Studios in Richmond and the band brought in Richmond musicians such as Erin Tobey, Andrew Clock, Taylor Burton, and Chris Dowhan to take the record to some next level shit. The songs are short and too the point kinda like Don Cab for ADD.
